Can the cards be fully branded?
Yes. Eligible white-label programs allow your brand to appear across the card and customer experience. Final designs are subject to program and partner approval.
Do you support virtual and physical cards?
Yes. Virtual and physical card options may be available depending on the selected program and target market.
Do the cards support digital wallets?
Eligible programs can support Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and WeChat Pay. Availability depends on the card program, network, issuer, device and market.
How does API integration work?
UPay Business APIs connect eligible card creation, management, transaction and control capabilities to your existing platform. Technical documentation and integration support are available during implementation.
How long does it take to launch a card program?
Timelines depend on the programme, market and how much of the compliance work is already in place. Virtual-only co-branded programmes move fastest; white-label programmes with physical cards take longer because manufacturing, shipping and network approvals are involved. We give you a realistic schedule during the scoping call rather than a headline number.
What is the difference between white-label and co-branded?
On a white-label programme the customer experience is entirely yours — your brand on the card, in the app, and through support. A co-branded programme runs on a supported structure where your brand appears alongside the programme's, which shortens the route to market and reduces the operational load on your team.
Which countries can we issue cards in?
Issuing geography is determined by the licences held by the issuer and BIN sponsor behind your programme, not by UPay alone. Availability differs by programme, so we confirm the exact list of eligible markets for your use case before anything is agreed.
What compliance obligations sit with us?
You own the customer relationship, so onboarding, KYC collection and ongoing monitoring of your own users typically sit with you, supported by our tooling. Programme-level obligations sit with the issuer. The precise split is set out in your programme agreement and confirmed before launch.
Do we need our own licence?
In most cases no — programmes run under the issuer's licence, which is a large part of why partnering is faster than building. Whether a licence is required on your side depends on your jurisdiction, your role in the flow and how funds move, so it is assessed during eligibility review.
What does it cost?
Pricing depends on programme type, card volumes, markets and which capabilities you enable. There are typically setup, per-card and per-transaction components. We quote against your actual projected volumes after the scoping call rather than publishing a rate card that will not match your case.
Can we test before going live?
Yes. A sandbox environment is available so your team can build and test card creation, controls and webhook handling against test data before any real cards are issued.
What happens after we submit the form?
A member of the card programs team reviews your details and comes back within one business day to arrange a scoping call. That call covers programme fit, eligible markets, integration effort and timelines — there is no obligation to proceed.
